What's Virgin Coconut Oil ?

Extracting coconut oil from it's kernel without destroying it's natural form and with no impurities but only pure coconut oil.
The color  ranges from pale yellow to colorless with a distinct taste and scent.This depends on the method of drying and processing.Some may have a smoky flavor/ slight yellowish color.However the high quality product is colorless and residue free.They do not differ in composition except that the availability of few poly phenols,vitamins and minerals contributing to fragrance.It's also rich in Medium Chain Fatty Acids (MCPA),good cholesterol and no Trans Fatty Acids.

  • Virgin coconut oil contain all the nutrients that can be obtained from coconut oil, well preserved and protected.
  • It has no colour and is a clear oil because it contain no impurities.(sediment free)
  • The process of manufacturing also doesn't involve caramalysation.Caramalysation is the melting of sugar in coconut scraping .It 's due to this that normally coconut oil is yellowish.But virgin coconut oil is clear and pure.
  • It has natural ,fresh coconut scent , free from rancid and has 20% moisture and it is a volatile liquid preventing rancidity.
  • Virgin coconut oil is extracted from fresh coconut oil meat (not copra) by mechanical and natural means .It can be obtained with/without heat.
  • In order to protect the oil's essential properties , it doesn't undergo any chemical refinning ,bleaching and deodrizing.
  • Unlike common coconut oil it has high shelf life.and can be used in infant and baby food formulations,ice cream,frozen deserts and confectioneries , widely.
  • RDB oils are hydrogenated ; artificially pressed in to molecules to create oil with higher melting points.Trans Fatty acids in them are highly toxic.
  • MCFA in virgin coconut oil doesn't break / destroy at high temperature.Thus beneficial nutrients ara retained and not harmed.

  • It has special ability of breaking / dissolving the lipo-protein envelope of some viruses such as HIV.
  • By scientific experiments , it is proved virgin coconut oil has a nutritional value equal to breast milk.
  • The virgin coconut oil manufacturing can be done under room temperature (25 degree Celsius) unlike other coconut oil types.
  • Normal coconut oil is saturated and has MCFA / good fats with 92% of saturated fatty acid content which  causes health effects.But ,a recent discovery proves 62% MCFA is coconut oil .Unsaturated has high concentration of  LCFA ,easily absorbed with less energy,few enzymes and improving digestion.
